Effects
Cardiac effects:
• Increase force of contraction
• Slow down heart rate
• May disturb cardiac rhythm e.g. blocking AV conduction, increased ectopic pacemaker activity
Adverse Effects
• Narrow therapeutic index
• TDM usually to assess for toxicity, rather than regular monitoring
